School Holiday Fun: Arrows, catapults, and claws for ages 9-12

  • Children

  • Workshops

In this workshop you'll learn the secret behind three inventions that allow us to do things our bodies can't do on their own. You'll use three different types of levers to shoot an arrow, catapult a "rock" and pick up things out of reach.

Early humans needed to catch animals to survive, when they learnt how to make a bow and arrow they were able to shoot the arrow much faster than they could ever throw something. Then they wanted to shoot big and heavy rocks to break down walls and so invented the catapult. Finally we'll build a claw grabber to pick up things out of reach or without even bending down. What will you be able to do once you learn these secrets?!

Suitable for children 9-12 years. No prior experience required. Bookings are essential.

We design the learning and social experience of our workshops very carefully, and it is important for the enjoyment and safety of all participants that your child is within the age range for this program.
